Grade 6 Band Field Trip
The Grade 6 Band will be going to Symphony Hall in Boston, MA to see a performance by the Boston Symphony Orchestra. This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to experience one of the best symphony orchestras in the world, as well as see the amazing historic building. All the details about the concert are listed below.
Did you know that the organ at the Methuen Music Hall was originally from Symphony Hall? It was put in storage when the orchestra was first established in 1881. In 1887 it was purchased at auction for $1,500 by the Methuen Organ Company and Edward F. Searles.
